My book habits here. This link takes a look at my Goodreads habits and turns them in to statistics. It gives you an idea of what kind of reader / reviewer I am.

What I will accept:

All horror types, including poetry, kids books or YA
Mysteries, including pulp and cozy
Graphic novels
History (depending on the topic)
Science (depending on the topic)
Animal related books, including land, sea, air, insects, prehistoric, etc.
Nature related books, including weather, geology, water, land, etc.

Maybe accept (depending on theme):

Urban fantasy
Sci-fi

What I will not accept:

religious (and that goes for all religions)
romance / erotic
politics, fiction or non-fiction
Epic fantasy or sci fi
non-horror themed poetry
Animal death
Self-help

If your book is in a theme I haven’t listed, it never hurts to ask me! I make exceptions if I think the book might be a good fit for me. Just send me info about your book and I will get back to you.

I have a Kindle and I am more then happy using that to review most of the books. Of course, if you would rather send me a physical copy instead of Kindle copy, that is acceptable as well. If it is a graphic novel or book that features a lot of images, I would prefer having a physical copy. I also prefer having a physical copy for history and science related books because I do a lot of flipping back and forth and that is a real pain with a Kindle.

If you have a deadline in mind, such as a release date, please give me the book at least 2 months in advance. I try to read as quick as I can and as much as I can, but sadly I only have so much time and way too many books. I have a list of books I’m reviewing for publishers and authors and I do try to get to them in a timely manner. I will opt out of reviewing the book if it turned out not to be a good fit for me. I would rather not review it then give it an unfair review.

Along with posting the review on my blog, I also post on Goodreads and amazon, as well as Netgalley if the book came from there. I am more then happy to post a review in other locations if you have somewhere else in mind, just let me know.

I give honest reviews. I do not like to lie and give false ratings. If a book gets a lower rating from me, I try my best to give constructive criticism and pros and cons. I would much rather like to help out authors and publishers instead of ripping a book apart or being mean or lying and saying it was great when it isn’t.
