Captain Dominic Holland leads a crew of skilled covert operatives and talented scientific personnel. He’s taken them to all corners of the earth to protect the United States from biological and chemical warfare. When his CIA handler, Meredith Webb, gives him a mission to investigate a disturbing lead on a laboratory based out of an abandoned oil rig, they discover the most terrifying threat to mankind they’ve ever faced—a genetically engineered biological weapon called the Oni Agent.
Back in the United States, Meredith discovers a frightening connection between the CIA and the Oni Agent. But her investigations are short-lived when the Agent spreads and brings mankind to its knees. Cities burn as it turns humans into warped creatures hell-bent on destruction.
Dominic and Meredith vow to do everything they can to combat the Agent and find a cure. But will their efforts be enough to turn the tide—or is humanity’s fate already sealed?

The most important thing is….. THE DOG DOES NOT DIE!!!! 😀 I repeat- the dog does NOT die!!!! That good girl gets rescued along with everyone else who survived! ❤ YAY!!
Well!!! Now this is a fun post apocalyptic story!! 😀 We have science, horror, danger, friendship, tension, and soooooo much more! Oh, and some pretty nasty monsters, too. From the very beginning of The Tide to the very end, this book was so action packed. Do no expect any down time here.
The plot is so good. The backstory is intriguing. The mystery of who was working on the bio weapon is a great hook. I couldn’t wait to see what was going on. The action is top notch and fast paced. Did not feel like a 9 hour book at all. Great set up AND cliffhanger setting up this whole series. 🙂 Oooooo I can’t wait to read the rest of this series!
There are a lot of characters in The Tide. Sometimes I had a little bit of a hard time keeping some of the side characters straight. Not a complaint though. It got easier as the story went on so it was all good.
The Tide is highly entertaining with captivating plot and mystery at the core. This is 100% high octane action horror through the whole novel! A lot of names to remember, but it’s not too bad. Love the creative virus and epic monsters. And…. the DOG lives!! 😀 What more could I ask for?
