When the YouTube-famous Ghost Gang—Chrissy, Chase, Emma, and Kiki—visit a haunted LA hotel notorious for tragedy to secretly film after dark, they expect it to be just like their previous paranormal huntings. Spooky enough to attract subscribers—and ultimately harmless.
But when they stumble upon something unexpected in the former room of a gruesome serial killer, they quickly realize that they’re in over their heads.
Sometimes, it’s the dead who need our help—and the living we should fear.

Before we get to the review, can we just take a few minutes to appreciate the beautiful cover on this book? I mean… the imagery, the colors… just love everything about it. ❤ ❤ ❤
I’ve had my eye on this book since it came out. Again…. look at that cover! So gorgeous! So eye catching! I don’t even care it’s YA. I needed to read this book! 😀
Right away I loved the set up for the story. Ya got ghost hunters, ya got plot device of going to a very haunted location to film for their Youtube show. Ya got likable characters. Once we get to the hotel, it isn’t too long before we get into strange territory with multiple shady going ons. The story does a great job of drawing you in with hook after hook. Felt very Scooby Doo meets Blair Witch.
My only big complaint is that the big twist was a little too predictable from the moment that character is introduced to us. I did enjoy watching the characters figure everything out. Just all the red herrings never felt very convincing or believable as legit suspects. It also felt like a missed opportunity that the hotel didn’t play a bigger role other than a setting. It was SUCH a cool location.
All the main characters are super adorable!! 🙂 For the most part, I really loved everyone! Chrissy’s attitude did borderline on being unlikable, though. 😐 Especially when she started hanging out with the cute dude. Everyone did feel like believable, real people, which was nice.
I totally enjoyed my stay at Horror Hotel. 😀 I could hardly put it down! So much fun! I was really sad to get to the end, even though the ending was very satisfying. I’m kinda hoping we will see these characters again some time? 🙂 Series, huh? Huh? Huh? 😀 Come on!
