Running from the world, their ship crippled, their supplies dangerously low, Team Grendel follow Ballantine’s lead to a promised paradise. A place where they can hide and regroup, rest and plan the next step in their lives.
If only life were so simple.
Within hours of arriving at their idyllic island, Team Grendel and the crew of the Beowulf III quickly realize that once again they have been thrust into a nightmare of gigantic proportions. One might say it is a behemoth of a bad dream!
Giant dinosaurs! Man-eating plants! Cannibal cavemen with a hunger for fresh meat! Behemoth Island puts Team Grendel in the middle of Hell and doesn’t let up until the beaches are covered in blood and the jungles are burning!
Mega 4: Behemoth Island by Jake Bible. Narrated by Neil Hellegers. Book # 4 in the Mega series. Audiobook published by Tantor Media, Inc., 2018. Run time is 7 hours and 57 mins. Originally published in 2015.
Dinosaurs! We…. have…. DINOSAURS! Yay! 😀 The team leaves the sea and heads to island life full of nightmares. I for one was super excited to see more prehistoric life such as a variety of big bad dinos. You can’t go wrong with some dinosaurs.
Mega 4 starts right off the bat with some surprising twists, followed by a great mystery plot hook. What happened to this island and the people running it? I was a tiny bit confused by the explanation. Not sure if it was unclear or if I just missed that part of the story some how. I got the basic gist, so me being a derp and missing the explanation did not ruin the story for me.
I really love how with each book in the series we learn even more info about the main characters. The author does such a great job just sprinkling facts in here or there. It is so seamless, you don’t even realize you are learning backstory. It just feels so natural. Never does it feel shoe horned in.
Every time questions get answered, if feels like even more questions crop up! I do love it because it is such a tease! You get enough to feel satisfied by there is still enough to leave you hooked for future books.
Highly entertaining series. This book is no different. Moves so fast! It was over before I knew it. I had so much fun listening to Mega 4. A on the edge of your seat sort of story. I could not get enough and eagerly started in on the next book in the series!
