So 2020 was crazy, right? I mean, it was terrible for everyone. I had a lot of trouble getting stuff read in 2020. I already have a post going in to more details about that. From about May 2020 til the end of the year, it was just hard going with books. I just couldn’t seem to focus on them and when I did read something, it needed to be an audiobook.
Even when I managed to read something, I hardly blogged it. I just couldn’t seem to get my head back on track, you know? Now I have this back log of books I wanted to talk about but they are all from last year. There are books I’m currently reading that I will be blogging, so when does that leave time for the older books to be blogged?
I thought about maybe just not blogging any of the 2020 books and just start with what I have currently to do blog. I just don’t like that idea though. I don’t like just passing on what I read in 2020 because some of them are pretty good and some of them needed to be talked about how not good they were.
I decided on blogging them, but with very brief blog entries. I have a book journal where I just write down my thoughts as I read. Nothing is really structured correctly in a nice fully described commentary, but you get my basic idea of what I felt for those books.
Normally when it is time to blog, I look at what I wrote and then expand on those ideas and really flesh out what I was talking about. I plan to just use the book journal entries and only slightly expand on the ideas written there. I want these to be quick blog review posts and much shorter then normal. I have a lot to catch up on and I’d like to try to get them done as soon as possible. I don’t want too much time to pass before I look at the title and think “Now what was this book about again??” -__-
