Review: Typhoid Mary by Charlie Dalton

John 5:19
We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.

A dozen mutilated bodies. A flood of blood. And that’s only the beginning. Police are called to a devastating scene. An entire family goes crazy and hacks each other to death. Only one of the children has survived. Poor little Mary. As the police question her about what happened to her family, it slowly becomes clear that Mary might know more then she is letting on. This isn’t the first time that Mary has had a problem with those around her dying.

Typhoid Mary by Charlie Dalton. Published by Amazon Digital Services, May 2019. The author gave me a free copy of this novella in exchange for an honest review.

Wow! This was a very fun, very quick, very bloody novella. Sci-fi horror that I just couldn’t get enough of. It reminded me of a bloody version of the classic Twilight Zone.

Didn’t take long at all to read Typhoid Mary. You can finish it off in one sitting. I wish it had been a bit longer. The story was so much fun, I hated to see it end. Although, I will admit the ending was pretty epic! If this story is the kind of work we can expect from Charlie Dalton, I’m all on board!

For being such a short book, I was really impressed with the amount of depth the main characters had. Normally in a novella, you don’t always get to see any inner conflicts or personality from the characters…. there just isn’t any time. Somehow the author managed to squeeze depth in to Typhoid Mary while at the same time delivering a solid story.

Loved the concept. Such an evil little brat at the center of the story. I really got a kick out of watching all the carnage take place. Massive amounts of crazy WTFs going on. Awesome!

I was very pleased with the novella Typhoid Mary. A lot of blood and carnage with a pleasing concept and characters with depth. Had a perfect ending. There really was no down side. 😮
